Description of Position
CCBC is hiring Residential Treatment Counselors for our new Co-Occurring Enhanced Residential Rehabilitation Services (COE-RRS) Program. Hours are 7am-3pm.
Staff will provide direct individual, group, educational, clinical or case management services to clients. Staff will be responsible for participating in the individual’s treatment plan, providing direct care and facilitating a therapeutic milieu through meetings and groups.
Responsibilities
Responsible for providing care coordination services to program clients and program service delivery including:
- Provide range of rehabilitation services;
- Provide range of support services; including individual and or group support
- Provide range of educational support;
- Support clients in meeting goals of the Individual Recovery Treatment Plan (IRTP).
- Participate in daily organization meetings, IRTP review meetings, and supervision, and training;
- Complete documentation in a timely fashion, including incident reporting;
- Other duties as defined by agency and/or program leadership
Requirements
Education/Training
This position requires a bachelor’s degree or experience or specific skills related to the delivery of rehabilitation, support, or housing service elements; Familiarity with housing first, recovery and rehabilitation principles.
Experience
Must have at least two years of human services related work with at least one year with adults who have a history of mental illness/and substance misuse; Must possess good organizational skills, effective written, verbal and computer skills. Experience in running groups preferred.
Other
Knowledge of Core-Competencies as identified by the employee’s assigned department; Must have a valid driver’s license in the state of residence and submit a copy of satisfactory record of driving from the state of residence of registry of motor vehicles, as determined by the department vice president; Must complete MA and ADP Criminal Offense Record Information (CORI) process; Must have computer literacy as related to the requirements of the position.
Physical Requirements
The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include vision, color vision, and ability to focus. The employee is expected to drive a personal vehicle and maintain proper vehicle insurance.
The noise level in the office / facility is usually quiet, but can be loud due to client participation and groups. The work environment is primarily within an indoor facility with occasional exposure to outdoor weather when traveling to outreach or meeting sites, or when participating in special program activities.
