Description of Position
Community Based Behavioral Health Center seeking full time Bachelor's level behavioral health provider to assist clinical staff in our Rapid Access Intake program based in our Taunton office. The ideal candidate has excellent customer service skills as well as organizational skills and ability to self-motivate and operate with a degree of independence. They will work with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatry and other mental health services as applicable to meet client needs from an integrated perspective.
The Engagement Specialist will contact clients that are not attending scheduled service appointments to identify barriers to treatment, help resolve barriers to treatment, and adjust the level of care as needed. CCBC’s goal is to re-engage absentee clients to boost attendance and help them to reach treatment plan goals. The individual will also refer and link clients to other human services programs and consult with other service agencies as needed to help clients transition care.
Our client population includes working with individuals with a wide variety of presentations including trauma, serious emotional disturbance, co-occurring disorders, substance abuse, and persistent major mental health diagnoses. As such, we provide tremendous support for our staff including individual and group supervisions, and trainings to support career and personal development.
Job responsibilities will include:
- Client outreach to identify barriers to consistent attendance in treatment
- Identifying engagement plans to address barriers to effective participation
- Referrals for other mental health services and linkage case management
- Use of electronic health record to document intervention
Requirements
- Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in a mental health or related field.
- The candidate must possess good organizational skills, as well as effective verbal, written and computer skills.
- Proficiency with computers including ability to use or learn to use an electronic health record system, audio-visual communication technology (i.e. doxy or Zoom), and some use of Microsoft Office suite for emails, internal document access, and organization.
